Soruda SC/ST Series
Soruda SC/ST Series color pastes are premium water-based tints with high pigment loading, specifically engineered for a wide range of industrial and decorative coatings.
The range covers 32 grades in total — 16 SC super-dispersed factory pastes with pigment solids up to 50% and specific gravity from 1.12 to 1.20, plus 16 ST universal grades for color mixing machines — all water-based, APEO-free and low VOC, with lightfastness up to 8 on the 1 to 8 scale.
Primary Applications: Synthetic resin latex paints, Water-based wood coatings, Transparent varnishes, Acrylic emulsions, and Polyester resins.
High Pigment Content: Pigment solids reach 50% in grades such as SC1001, SC1002, SC1005, SC1014 and SC1015, ensuring maximum color strength and transparency, reducing the amount needed and lowering costs.

The ST series covers 16 universal grades supplied for color mixing machines. Lightfastness is rated on the 1 to 8 scale at both 1:1 and 1:25 tinting strength; alkali resistance is rated 1 to 5.

They are two complete lines of water-based color pastes for factory tinting. The SC line covers 16 super-dispersed grades (SC1001 to SC1016) with pigment solids up to 50%, and the ST line covers 16 universal grades (ST1 to ST16) supplied for color mixing machines — 32 grades in total.
The amount of paste added when mixing colors should normally not exceed 10% of the formula, and each paste must be stirred thoroughly before use. A compatibility test on the actual emulsion is recommended before bulk production.
The ideal working pH range is 7 to 10. The pastes are non-hazardous goods and should be stored and transported between 5°C and 40°C, away from direct sunlight. The valid storage period is 18 months.

Lightfastness is rated 1 to 8. Grades such as ST1 White, ST2 Carbon Black, ST3 Iron Red, ST5 Green, ST6 DPP Red, ST10, ST13 and ST16 Phthalocyanine Blue reach 8 at both 1:1 and 1:25, with alkali resistance 5. Yellow and orange grades such as ST4, ST9 and ST14 rate 4-5 on alkali resistance and should be tested on the finished film.
