When the automatic color matching machine encounters abnormalities during the production process, a series of measures will be taken to handle them:


1、 Abnormal color ratio

  • Mixing air into the color paste pump: If air is mixed into the color paste pump, it will cause the color paste to not drip properly, affecting the color ratio. At this point, it is necessary to perform air discharge operation on the color paste pump to ensure smooth dripping of the color paste.

  • The base paint does not match the formula: Check if the base paint used is consistent with the formula requirements. If it does not match, replace it with the correct specification of base paint.

  • Inaccurate positioning of the colorant tank: Inaccurate positioning of the colorant tank may result in incomplete valve opening, affecting the amount of colorant added. Need to adjust the positioning of the color paste tank to ensure that the valve can be fully opened.

  • Valve motor position deviation: Valve motor position deviation can cause some colorants to be unable to drip, and it is necessary to adjust the position of the valve motor and valve lever to ensure correct alignment.

  • Nozzle blockage: nozzle blockage can affect the dripping of color paste, resulting in inaccurate color matching. It is necessary to promptly clear the nozzle to ensure that the color paste can be dripped normally.


2、 Abnormal supply of color paste

  • Insufficient colorant in the colorant bucket: Before adjusting the color, it is necessary to check the amount of colorant in the colorant bucket to ensure sufficient colorant. If there is insufficient color paste, it is necessary to add color paste in a timely manner to avoid affecting the accuracy of color matching.

  • Slurry sedimentation blockage: Slurry sedimentation can cause blockage of the paint nozzle, affecting the flow of the slurry. It is necessary to clean the components and related parts of the pigment tank to ensure smooth flow of the pigment.

  • Loose colorant bucket: Loose colorant bucket will affect the supply of colorant, and it is necessary to tighten the fastening screws under the colorant bucket.

3、 Mechanical malfunction

Mixing motor not turning: It may be caused by power failure, blown fuse, disconnected motor wiring, or motor damage. Need to check the power plug, fuse, and motor wiring, and replace the motor if necessary.

Serious adhesion of color paste on piston rod or measuring scale: Damage to the piston plate on the piston rod can cause severe adhesion of color paste, and the piston rod component needs to be replaced.

Loose color paste bucket on the turntable: Loose color paste bucket on the turntable will affect the supply of color paste, and screws need to be tightened.

There is color paste seeping out at the wrench: it may be due to damage to the valve body components or the sealing ring of the suction valve, and the corresponding components need to be replaced.

There is noise during the operation of the equipment: it may be due to the incorrect installation of the blade shaft on the color paste bucket or it jumping out of the nylon sleeve, and the blade shaft needs to be reinstalled.


4、 Electrical malfunction

Power supply issue: Check if the power plug is plugged in properly and if the socket has power to ensure normal power supply.

Fuse blown: If the fuse is blown, it is necessary to check whether there is a turn to turn short circuit in the primary winding of the transformer, whether the voltage regulator diode on the PCB board has a breakdown short circuit, and then replace the fuse.

Motor capacitor or motor damage: Motor capacitor or motor itself damage can cause the motor to malfunction and require replacement.

Sensor malfunction: Use a magnetically conductive metal to approach the working surface of the sensor and check if the LED at the end of the sensor is emitting light. If it doesn't light up, it means there may be a problem with the sensor and it needs to be replaced.

5、 Software malfunction

Software conflict or error: If there is a conflict or error in the software of the color mixer, it may cause the device to malfunction. You can try restarting or reinstalling the software.

System parameter setting error: Check if the system's parameter settings are correct and ensure that all parameters meet the color grading requirements.

Incompatible software version: If the software version is incompatible with the device, it may cause abnormal device operation. We need to update the software version to ensure compatibility with the device.


6、 Other abnormal situations

Communication error: Check if the connection port between the device and the computer is consistent with the port settings in the software, ensure that the device is in its original position when turned on, and avoid interrupting power or performing other operations after the device is online.

Emergency stop switch not turned on: If the emergency stop switch is not turned on or the connecting wire is disconnected, the emergency stop switch needs to be turned on or the connecting wire needs to be repaired.

Device initialization issue: Failure to initialize the device during startup may result in the device not functioning properly. Initialization needs to be carried out according to the operating procedures.
